Release Date: 2006.10.10
Powered by: LUA Player 0.20 MOD 2
Introduction
============
uo_Ograniser is an 'UnOfficial' homebrew version that extends the core
functionalities of the original program developed and released by modsyn (named
Ogranise**). This version allows you to do more things like sorting homebrew
titles automatically in alphabetical ascending or descending order, removing or
restoring corrupted data icons from the XMB menu via a 3-way folder name
inter-conversion scheme, ignoring titles you do not wish to repair in the list,
and generating a summary report at the end of the repair operation. This is
currently the only one which does it on the PSP without a USB connection.
What's New In This Release?
===========================
v0.9.2se
--------
With the breakthrough release of Dark_AleX's 2.71 SE-A Custom Firmware mod, PSP
users who have installed the mod would notice my humble little piece of
homebrew lost its magic in the GAME150 folder.
Here's the quick fix, requested by Exodus in the QJ.net forum. Enjoy! =(^-^)v
v0.9.2
------
In the forum discussion at QJ.net, Jackleone pointed out a 'missing' feature,
that is to display the list order the same way as XMB would after executing the
Organise function. After some thoughts, I came up with an idea on how to bypass
the limitations of the LUA programming language while realising the useful
feature requested by Jackleone.
In this release, uo_Ograniser allows you to SAVE your very own 'customised'
list order! To activate this feature, you need to save your customised list
order the very first time you run v0.9.2 (Hint: If you perform the Organise
function, the customised list will be automatically saved for you). The next
time you run this homebrew, a new option called CUSTOM List Order will be
available under the Sort Option.
uo_Ograniser has an enhanced new look - brand new Logo and XMB menu wallpaper.
You will also find some new screen designs in this new version. The Logo is
designed using the program name uo_Ograniser, but mainly featuring the letters
OGR. At first glance, doesn't the OGR design resembles OUR? Yes, OUR organiser!
It takes on the idea of Everyone's organiser in mind.
Last but not least, the XMB menu wallpaper design is inspired with the
expresssion of Hoshizora, which means 'Starry Sky' in Japanese. The focal of
the design was the brightest star amongst the stars. The whole artwork was
perfected and finalised after several revisions, hope you like it! I give
credits to Angel for her contribution of design ideas.
For a complete list of new features, changes and bug fixes, please read the
Changes.txt file. Enjoy this humble new release! =(^-^)=
v0.9.1
------
Well, COMPATIBILITY is the keyword in this latest release of uo_Ograniser!
Without further ado, here's a rundown of the new features:
I guess the most highly anticipated and requested feature is this: Added
support to iR Shell users by introducing a compatible folder name scheme! Yes,
iR Shell users can now fully enjoy uo_Ograniser as it was originally intended:
To hide corrupted data icons in the XMB menu by doing it all via the PSP
without a USB connection, and at the same time staying compatible with the rest
of the homebrew titles! Yay!
"Repair 'em all!" was all about it in the previous versions. Hmm... maybe not
that useful if the application folder name has changed, and as the result it
fails to run. That's why this new release has an Ignore Toggle feature! You may
cross out one or more title(s) you wish to ignore from the repair list. The
paired folder names of the marked title(s) will be left untouched during the
organising (and repair) operation!
And yes, you can now take screen shots as and when you like it. The *only one
screen capture file* limitation is lifted. Yes, you may now take up to 10,000
screen shots in one go! BTW, do you really need that many? (^-^);
Unofficial vs. Original Version
-------------------------------
This homebrew-mod version is packed with many 'extra' features. To start off
with, the user interface has a facelift! This unofficial release sport a new
graphical interface, menus and backgrounds to improve the end-user experience.
You may now sort your homebrew titles automatically in alphanumerical ascending
or descending order. If you are still unsatisfied with the order arrangement,
the manual sorting (positioning) tool will allow you to place your favourite
homebrew to your favourite spot.
Say goodbye to the corrupted data icons that may show up on the XMB menu! New
feature to this mod: uo_Ograniser allows you to repair (rename) the existing
homebrew folders in your game folder automatically by removing those corrupted
data icons. This one-time process is completely safe***, you may even reverse
the process if you wish to restore the original folder names.
And finally, before you could answer 'Yes!' to begin the organising
(finalizing) process, safety checks will be kicked in to make sure your PSP
have sufficient battery life or it is plugged into an AC-adaptor before you are
allowed to perform read/write operations on your memory stick.
Of course, a progress bar indicator will show the percentage of completion
during those long organising process. Upon completion, a Summary Report will be
generated to give you an overview on the folders that were processed and each
individual success failure result.
There you go, all these features packed into one homebrew application, and this
is currently the only one which does it on the PSP without a USB connection!
Side Notes:
**Yes, the original homebrew title is spelt that way!
***Dark_AleX and several others have developed custom firmwares for 1.50 PSP.
One of the features enable you to hide corrupted data icons from the XMB menu.
Although these custom firmware mods have been tested by many users, there is
always a possibility of bricking your PSP when writing to the flash memory, so
please be careful!
